Mother of triplets receives phone, begs Umahi

Mrs Onyinyechukwu Nwafor, a widow with two months old triplets begging for alms on top of the Unizik junction Awka Pedestrian Crossover this morning received a Techno phone from Mr Law Onyia from Ngodo Village, Nise.

Mr Onyia was a passer-by when our reporter was interviewing Mrs Nwafor and overheard her saying she has no phone contact for future communications should anybody wishes to assist her and her triplets. Onyia volunteered to buy her a phone and made money available for our reporter to provide the woman with a phone. She was delighted about that offer.
The mother of the triplets, 2 girls and a boy namely Ebubechukwu, Chinazaekpere and Chikamso said she lost her husband, Emmanuel Nwafor but did not give details.
She is from Onueke Ezza of Ebonyi state . She delivered the baby in Enugu state but when life became unbearable for her she relocated to Anambra state and has been begging on top of the Pedestrian cross over. She has a two years old son before the triplets came.
Mrs Nwafor is appealing to the Ebonyi state Governor, Chief Dave Umahi and wife as well as other South East Governors wives and philanthropists to assist her feed the triplets. She breastfeeds them in turn.
A witness to the gesture of Mr Onyia , Mr Uchenna Mbam, aka Obele, an Electrician from Ikwo Echelike , Ebonyi state thanked Mr Onyia for his gesture and appealed to good spirited individuals to assist the mother of triplets to feed her babies. Obele presented the phone on behalf of Mr Onyia.
