Monarchs hail Soludo’s community devp, enthusiasm for environment

With recognition coming from ndi Anambra from all walks of life in celebration of the first anniversary of the present state government, Gov. Chukwuma Soludo has been touted for repositioning towns and communities in all 21 local government areas.

Chairman of Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Alfred Achebe, made the commendation while receiving Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Mr. Tony Collins Nwabunwane, who paid a courtesy visit to Ime Obi Palace, Onitsha.
Explaining that the governor’s mastery of social development dynamics should be credited with restoring peace and harmony in most communities of the state that were previously riddled with strife, schisms and division, Igwe Achebe commended Gov. Soludo’s choice of Nwabunwanne as driver of the new order.

Therefore, Igwe Achebe called on ndi Anambra to continue supporting the governor’s agenda of transforming Anambra into a livable and prosperous homeland.
Earlier while presenting the governor’s goodwill message to the monarch and other members of the traditional rulers council, Nwabunne said the administration will continue to give the royal father a place of pride in the state, adding that monarchs are the governor’s representatives in promotion of law and order in their communities.

In another development, President General of Ogbaru Main Market, Mr. Ndubisi Ochiogu, has commended Gov. Chukwuma Soludo for launching clean, green sustainable environmental initiative in the state.
Ochiogu made the commendation during the desilting of blocked drainages and general sanitation exercise carried out in the market.
Explaining the exercise was in compliance with the governor’s directives to all markets in the 21 council areas across the state, Ochiogu expressed joy with the level of compliance by some traders.
He also warned that defaulters would have their shops locked up as punishment
