The House of Representatives member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency in the lower chamber of the National Assembly Hon Ifeanyi Momah has for the umpteenth time denied joining the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Momah who stated this during an interview with journalists in Abuja yesterday, described the report that said he left the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) for APC as a “fabrication of fallacy peddled by non-performing charlatans and unscrupulous elements that have refused to give the people account of their political stewardship in office.

“So it baffles them that I have done so much for my people and have always given proper stewardship of work done so far,” Momah said.

Momah further stated that it is the party at the ward, local Government, state and national levels that determines who is a member of our great party APGA. The records are there.

He further stated that “How can a state lawmaker who has been famed for colossal non-performance in the last almost 8years be the one to talk about my membership of a party.
Let him answer questions of stewardship and accountability which we have always asked and we will continue to remain resilient in asking that question. We can not and will not be distracted. What have you done in the last almost 8yrs is the question and still remains unanswered.”

The lawmake who strongly debunked the rumour of his defection, said defecting to another political party has a process which must be observed. You have to resign officially from your party and register with the new party at the ward level before it will be announced officially on the floor of the house.

According to him, “as such never happened, why the fake defection stories? We are not unaware of the fact that they want to slow down our optimism in constantly providing for our constituents, rather it acts as an impetus and spring board for me to do more as I remain focused on how to ameliorate poverty and hunger in my federal constituency.”

He however, reassured the All Progressive Grand Alliance and his constituents that he remains not just an APGA member but the APGA leader in the entire Ihiala Federal Constituency.
