‘LO, I AM WITH YOU!’ Bishops Converge in Ahoada for Provincial Council/MU Executive Meeting
Bishops from the Ecclesiastical Province of Niger Delta gather at Holy Trinity Parish Church, Ula Ehuda in the Diocese of Ahoada – Rivers State, for a 2-day Provincial Council and Mothers’ Union Executive Meeting.

Diocesan Communicator,.the event which took place from Wednesday 4 to Thursday 5 February, 2026, was led by the Archbishop of the Province, The Most Rev’d Blessing Enyindah.
The meeting focused on the Theme “Lo, I Am With You with text taking from the book of Matthew chapter twenty eight verse twenty.
Archbishop Blessing Enyindah in his address emphasized the importance of prayer, worship, and holy living in maintaining God’s presence.
The Archbishop who is also the Dean, Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion and Bishop of Ikwerre Diocese also expressed concern over the Federal Government’s new tax reforms, stating that people are the backbone of development and policies should prioritize their welfare.
The Archbishop highlighted the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion’s activities, including the inauguration of new dioceses and enthronement of bishops for Ikom, Ogoja, Kalabari and Omoku, with Eket Diocese pending due to the Bishop of Uyo’s demise.
In his welcome address, the Bishop of the Diocese of Ahoada, The Rt Rev’d Hanson Onyejiuwanaka Bernard who spoke on the Theme, urged perseverance in faith.
Rt Rev’d Hanson Bernard noted that the work of evangelism and discipleship is not just for some persons alone, but for every committed Christian.
He informed that the church building that hosted the Council meeting was single-handedly built and furnished by Sir Ngozi and Dame Katherine Abu, a commendable gesture that should be emulated by spirited individuals.
Venerable Umegbewe Jerome delivered a powerful sermon at the Communion Service, and the women of Ahoada Diocese made a special presentation.
