KEEP YOUR COMMUNITY CLEAN AND EARN BIG MONEY — Idemili North Council Mayor urges communities
The Transition Chairman for Idemili North Chief Chuksbrown Igboañua has urged communities in Idemili North to key into the All Anambra State Plastic Waste Recovery Challenge, being organised by the Anambra State Ministry of Environment, in collaboration with the Anambra State Waste Recyclers Association ASWRA and other stakeholders to earn big money.
Chief Igboañua while highlighting the benefits accruable from keeping the environment clean and healthy also said that Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s All Anambra State Waste Recovery Challenge enables participating communities to earn a whopping one million naira (N1,000,000) as a prize for the community that emerges winner in the competition.
Ezeoba said that the 179 Communities that make up the 21 Local Government Areas in Anambra State that will be competing against one another are graded under urban, semi urban and rural for equitable participation.
[6/3, 11:01 PM] Local Govt Uche Nworah: The contest is such that each of the 179 Communities in Anambra State has one month, from Thursday, 8th June, to 7th July, 2023 to pick up waste plastic materials from around their community.
At the end of the 1 month competition period, the waste plastic material collected by each Community will be weighed and recorded by the organizers.
The Community that has collected the largest amount of waste plastic material in kilogram shall be declared the winner of the Challenge in each of the three categories, and the prize of N1M shall be given to that Community.
“Governor Soludo has provided an ample opportunity for communities in Idemili North to work for the good of their community and earn N1,000,000.00 and also provide a clean, healthy, liveable and prosperous environment as being preached by Charlie Nwamgbafor, our governor”, Igboañua further explained.
The All Anambra Plastic Waste Recovery Challenge will soon be formally launched at the X-FIT PLAZA, by Ekwueme Square, Awka.
