Kachikwu Predicts Tinubu’s Defeat in 2027, Dismisses Political Intimidation Claims
A former presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dumebi Kachikwu, has declared that Nigerians will remove President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections despite what he described as ongoing political intimidation.
Kachikwu made the statement while reacting to internal developments within the ADC, insisting that no amount of pressure or alleged intimidation from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) would stop Nigerians from voting for change. He maintained that the electorate remains the ultimate decider in any democratic process.
The former ADC flagbearer also dismissed the influence of incumbency, arguing that control of state structures does not guarantee electoral victory. He expressed confidence that growing dissatisfaction among Nigerians would translate into support for opposition parties ahead of 2027.
Kachikwu further alleged that attempts are being made to weaken opposition voices, but stressed that such moves would not deter the resolve of Nigerians seeking a different leadership direction.
His remarks come amid rising political tension and early alignments among parties as the race toward the 2027 presidential election gradually takes shape.
