Journalist, Cynthia Igbokwe, weds heartthrob in Nibo amidst joy, fanfare

It was all joy weekend at St Theresa’s Catholic Church, Nibo, Awka South LGA as Cynthia Chidimma Igbokwe of Achalaorji Ifite village, Nibo and Isidore Ekene Anarado of Adazi Nnukwu both in Anambra State, were joined in holy matrimony.

The bride is a senior correspondent of Odogwublog, a renowned online news platform in the state. An active member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Anambra State Council, Cynthia also had stints at FIDES and Authority newspapers respectively.

The wedding took place at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Nibo, Awka South LGA Anambra State and was followed by a very colourful traditional engagement ceremony to join the lovebirds.

Friends, family members, Awka based journalists and many socialites were present and added colour to the glamorous program.

In his sermon at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Nibo, Reverend Fr James Amaefuna admonished the couple to love and forgive one another always, noting that marriage was a union ordained by God.

He advised them to understand each other and make Jesus the foundation of their marriage, adding that Jesus should not be seen as a guest rather the bedrock of the family.

His words, “Each marriage has its peculiarity, and it’s the same every where. It depends on how it is being handled, make your marriage to be perfect.”

Congratulating the newly wedded couple on behalf of his members, NUJ Anambra State Chairman, Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, PhD, reminded the couple the need to live within the principle of tolerance and undiluted love irrespective unforseen circumstances.

Reminding the bride that Journalists are the moral barometers of the society, Dr Odogwu whonis also the Pjblisher of www.odogwublog.com encouraged the couple to live in true love and peace to build a happy home.

Similarly, Chairman National link chapel of the NUJ, Mr Tempest Udeze, prayed for an everlasting love and peaceful union to the new couple.
