By Chris Emeka Azubogu

We have successfully provided 24-hour supply of electricity to Joint Hospital, Ozubulu in line with our effort to strengthen healthcare services in our locality.

Last week, I joined the representatives of the Federal Director of Rural Electrification Agency (REA) and the hosting community(Ozubulu) to officially commission the MINI GRID Solar Energy Solution I facilitated through Fed Govt agency(REA) for the Joint hospital, Ozubulu.

I also reiterated my call for decentralization of source of power. I call for a situation where we can use cluster approach, that generates mini power to serve a particular cluster.

I stated that I want us to look at Economic, Education, Business clusters etc and explore speedy means of getting them empowered with sustained and affordable power supply in order to stimulate the economy and create jobs for our young people.

I also used the opportunity to make case for embedded power project(IPP mini Grid project) in Nnewi which I also facilitated …but NERC is presently withholding their licences for what I term ‘politics’ which to me is against the quest to stimulate the economy and create jobs for young people.

We need to stimulate growth through deliberate investment on critical infrastructures that will unlock our lockup potentials in order to open windows for massive jobs for our young people.

I must thank all those that have been collaborating with us to achieve results for public good. In this case, REA has been so committed with installation of Mini Grid power in some areas in our effort to solve energy crisis that has affected negatively on businesses over the years.

Come, let’s Build A System That Can Solve Her Problems.
