Imo State Government Launches Four-Day Free Medical Outreach in Partnership with Nigerian Physicians in America

The government of Imo state has announced a four day free medical outreach in major health centres across the state. The free medical outreach is in partnership with the Association of Nigerian Physicians in America and will commence on 14th of April, 2026.

Governor Hope Uzodimma has called on residents of Imo State to take advantage of the four-day free medical mission, stating that the programme will provide a wide range of free medical services to people in the three geopolitical zones of the state.

Uzodimma said the initiative is not only aimed at treating patients but also at improving the skills of healthcare workers. According to him, the mission includes special training programmes, such as sickle cell disease management and other important life-saving practices.

He explained that the partnership is part of the state government’s efforts to improve healthcare services, reduce avoidable health problems, and ensure better outcomes for residents.

The governor added that knowledge sharing, professional training, and strong partnerships like this will help strengthen the health system and improve service delivery across Imo State.
