Before now, once your soup gets sour or spoilt, the next thing, which is more like the only thing that you can do, is to throw it away.

I understand that it can be very painful when a soup that you spent so much time and money to prepare gets sour. Not to worry, this simple trick can help you restore your soup and put a smile back on your face.

Sadly, it’s a painful thing to experience, especially when the soup is very delicious or you just prepared it and you’ve barely enjoyed it half of it.

However, with this simple truck you can have your delicious soup remade and ready for consumption once again.

However, like the popular saying goes, “prevention is better than cure” always try as much as you can to prevent your soup from spoiling in the first place. Because, truth be told, a remade soup can never be as delicious as the originally made one.

That said, the main reason why most soups gets sour is because of the actions of bacteria. This is why it is important to always warm your soup after preparing it from time to time, for at least twice a day. Because, since most bacteria, are not resistant to heat, anytime you heat your soup, you destroy them.

More so, heating your soup, keeps it fresh and helps protect your health from the harmful effects of these bacteria.

The bacteria that Spoils your soup comes from the environment that surrounds your soup, such as your pot and spoons.

This is why it is not advisable to deep your bare hands directly into your pot of soup, or use a spoon to turn the soup when it is not hot or steaming.

Now, do this if your soup gets sour, to restore it:

Like I said in the title, all you need are: Onion And Palm Oil.

FIRST METHOD: SAUCE METHOD

Personally, I prefer this method, although it is more stressful than the second one I am going to share with you below. Sour soup usually comes out better when you use this method:

a. Slice or dice your onions, then fry it along with fresh pepper and crayfish using palm oil. Then add little seasoning to taste.

b. Pour a cup of water into the soup to dilute the sour taste, then heat it gently.

c. After few minutes, pour the fried onion from (a) into the soup and stir. Allow to heat for some time, and that’s it, your soup is restored. Go ahead and taste to confirm.

SECOND METHOD:

Alternatively, you can just dice or slice your onion and pour it into your sour soup, add a little palm oil, stir, and then allow to heat for some minutes. Taste to confirm if the sour taste is gone.

These two trick works for almost every soup, including Egwusi, Ogbono, and Banga soups etc.
