How DPO conspires with Land-Grabbers, Thugs to take over Plot of Land belonging to a Couple 

      …. Rights group to report DPO, DCO, SO, CRO to Police authorities.

A human rights organization, the Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice (CHRSJ) has condemned the act of conspiracy between a Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) and Station Officer(SO) attached to Ibafo Police Station in Ogun State and Land-Grabbers in the town over plan to take over the sold plot of land to a Couple,Mr. and Mrs. Kehinde and Abimbola Oyewale with Phone number:-+234 7060675564/+234 8107858623.

While condemning the Ibafo DPO and others conspiracy act of protecting the land-grabbers and attackers to erect unknown father’s burial ground in the Couple’s compound after five years of selling the plot of land to them (Couple).

Reacting on Thursday to the unprofessional conduct of Ibafo DPO with phone number:-+234 8032474787, the Executive Chairman of the Centre,Comrade Adeniyi Alimi Sulaiman declared that the action of the DPO and his other officers in supporting the illegal action of the land-grabbers in the area, should be totally condemned by all and sundry .

Detailing the issue, Comrade Sulaiman stated that the Couple bought a Plot of land from the family of Ogunmefun Family of Ibafo five(5) years ago and they have erected the residential building on it, where they have been living there for over two (2) years ago without any knowledge of any burial ground on the land. On March 1st, 2021,the thugs, attackers and hoodlums popularly called (Omo-Onile or Land-grabbers from Ogunmefun Family) came to the plot of land and residential building located at No14,Peace Estate,Road they  would errect their burial ground today.

But the Couple on hearing the hoodlums and attackers who came with weapons like Cutlass,knife, sticks,iron-rod,charms and others and they  were led by one Shasamura with phone number:-+234 8131539780 and his partner in crime called “Germany” with phone number:-+234 8061637019 and an attempt to stop the land-grabbers,they descended on the husband.

And this made the couple to report the matter to Ibafo Divisional Police Station,along Lagos-Ibadan Express Way,Ibafo, where the Station Officer (SO) with Phone number:-+234 8079884274 & +234 8036504168 attended to them and later took them to the office of the DPO for proper explanation.

The DPO sent some Policemen to follow the Complainants to the scene and ordered them to bring the hoodlums to the Station for proper investigation. When the DPO sighted the hoodlums in his office, he just told the hoodlums (Land-grabbers) to go ahead with their erection of their purported burial ground in compound of the Couple, while the complainants should leave of his (DPO) Office and if they(the couple)like, they should go to the Court.

Investigation revealed that the said Land-grabbers, thugs, attackers and their cohorts have erected tent and Plastic Chairs on Wednesday (Yesterday) Night for purported remembrance burial ceremony of their acclaimed late father at the compound of the Couple with the Protection of Ibafo DPO, DCO, SO and CRO on Thursday (today).

Speaking further, Sulaiman who explained that the DPO refused to protect
the innocent Couple from the land-grabbers and their cohorts
by giving the special protection to the hoodlums because it has been
alleged that something has exchanged his hand from the hoodlums, adding that instead of DPO and other officers to  inform the hoodlums to exhume their purported father corpse from another person’s land or better still to charge the hoodlums to Court for trespass, peculiar assault and insult, attempted murder,threat to life and willful and malicious damages,they(hoodlums) were being given special protection which encourage them to do more assault on the Couple.

The rights activist who stressed that the rights group would soon report to the Police authorities including, Inspector General of Police(IGP),Police Service Commission (PSC), Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP)  in charge of Zone 2,Ogun State Commissioner of Police(CP) , National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and host of others, to call for disciplinary action against the DPO and other
Police officers involved in this undemocratic attitude, inhuman,unprofessional conduct,dereliction of duty and act of conspiracy that could lead to the breaking down of law and order in
the area.

But Investigation revealed that the action of those Land-grabbers were the new methodology of the hoodlums to take over the residential building of innocent citizens of the area by coming back later to lay claim to the ownership of the same portion of land for being the land that host the corpse of their late father.
