Hon. Sokolo To Channel Abua/odual Farmers Into Mechanized Agriculture
Mechanized Agriculture which is the usage of machines like (tractors) to hasten produce; accomplish task, reduce fatigue and human labour in other to boost agricultural food production is to be introduced to Abua/Odual constituency by the Honorable Lawmaker representing Abua/Odual Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly- Barr. Sokolo Solomon Kirifah.
Odogwublog learnt that the lawmaker disclosed this yesterday when he appeared as a Guest to an AGRO SEMINAR Hosted by Atik Global Services tagged “LEVERAGING ON AGRO PRODUCTS FOR COMMUNITY PROSPERITY”
This which is geared towards increasing marginal output in food production for farmers and eradication of poverty in the constituency.
“I don’t want the suffering of our men and women to continue when they go to farm”
Further stated that the mechanized Agricultural Scheme when actualized should be properly harness by Abua/Odual Farmers as all modalities for his realization is already set out; just for the unfortunate effect of Covid 19 that is affecting conveyance of the tractors to Abua/Odual.
Some of the tractors expected are Cassava Planter, Disc Harrow, plough and More; Even Seed processing as to prevent plant pathogens like fungal, bacterial, virals or nematodes from attacking Crops when cultivated.
