Hantavirus less contagious than COVID-19, says Dutch doctor

A Dutch infectious disease expert has said the hantavirus outbreak on the cruise ship MV Hondius is far less transmissible than COVID-19.

Karin Ellen Veldkamp of Leiden University Medical Centre said person-to-person spread is “possible but much more difficult,” stressing: “It is not like Covid.”
