Gunmen hijack passenger bus in Imo
Suspected gunmen on Monday hijacked an Aba-bound bus in Ngor Okpala, Imo State, sparking panic among passengers and motorists. Eyewitnesses said the attackers emerged from the bush, fired shots, and took control of the fully loaded bus.
The incident follows similar attacks in May 2025, when at least 18 passengers were abducted on the same route, and weeks later, more than 20 others were kidnapped with two reported killed. Police have yet to comment.
