The eye is the light of the body, it sends images and every other occurrence to the brain to. Without the eye, one would be termed a less privileged; because you won’t be able to participate in basic activities or even effectively take care of yourself.

The eyes are very important to all humans but just like every other organ or part of the body, it also suffers some challenges. Glaucoma is a group of diseases that affect the optic nerve of the eye. The optic nerve is the signal transmitter i.e. it sends signals to the brain and when damaged means total and permanent loss of vision to the individual concerned.

1. Eye Pain: like every other ailment, the first sign of eye infection or glaucoma is a burning sensation. 3. Temporary Vision Loss: this is usually sudden and also terrible. If you start experiencing temporary Vision Loss or loss of vision that usually lasts for few seconds, then you need to visit the hospital. Sometimes it is not as a result of glaucoma, but most times it is.

Like I said earlier, eye infections such as Glaucoma when detected earlier can be less cumbersome to handle but if you allow it to eat you up to a great extent, then the hospital won’t have much effect on you. Glaucoma doesn’t take too long before damaging the optic nerve, so you need to take it very seriously.
