Ghana Walks Away from US Aid Talks Over Data Demand

Ghana has terminated negotiations for a multi-year US aid deal after Washington reportedly demanded access to citizens’ personal data, a government source told AFP.

The talks, involving health-related support, collapsed after Ghana resisted the condition, with the source saying the US team became “hostile” and increased pressure.
