The family of Hon. Chief Dubem Onyia, a former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, has announced his passing at the age of 73.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Engr. Emeka Onyia, speaking on behalf of the family, confirmed that Chief Onyia passed away on Monday after a brief illness, surrounded by loved ones.
Recognized as a statesman and dedicated public servant, Onyia played a key role in shaping Nigeria’s diplomatic landscape during his tenure. His legacy is defined by his commitment to national interests, integrity, and service to the country.
