FORMER ABIA GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE AND ABIA CENTRAL SENATE ASPIRANT UNDER NDC, BISHOP EMEKA NWANKPA, AMONG EIGHT ARRAIGNED AS FAKE PASTORS IN ANAMBRA STATE TODAY
The Anambra State Government has arraigned Bishop Emeka Nwankpa, a popular cleric, philanthropist, and politician, alongside seven others over alleged involvement in fake spiritual practices.
Bishop Nwankpa, a former governorship candidate in Abia State under the Accord Party and an Abia Central senatorial aspirant under the NDC, is also the founder and General Overseer of Chapel of Faith Bible Assembly International, headquartered in Onitsha, Anambra State. He is widely known for his philanthropic activities through the Bishop Emeka Nwankpa Foundation.
He was previously a member of the APC before defecting to the Accord Party to contest the 2023 Abia State governorship election. He later joined the ADC before moving to the NDC, where he contested the Abia Central senatorial primaries under the party.
He is among eight persons arraigned today by the Anambra State Government over allegations of being fake pastors. He and the other suspects are currently being prosecuted at the Anambra State High Court as proceedings continue.
