FG Discontinues Administration Of Second Phase Of Coronavirus Vaccine Doses

The Federal Government has discontinued the administration of the second stage of the coronavirus vaccine doses even after the Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19 had ensured the approval of the National Agency for Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC.

The Director of Press, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Willie Bassey announced over the weekend, that the administration would commence tomorrow, Tuesday.

However, in a notice yesterday, Sunday, Mr. Bassey announced that the exercise has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances noting that a new date will be communicated in due time.

Nigeria had last week taken delivery of over four million doses of Moderna vaccine while still awaiting doses of J and J vaccine, which are due for delivery in August and September 2021.
