FG Clears 14,000 E-Visas, Sets August 1 Deadline for Overstayers
The Federal Government has processed over 14,000 e-visa applications and launched an amnesty portal for visa overstayers to regularize their status before August 1.
After the deadline, offenders face daily fines and re-entry bans of up to 10 years. Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo said the reforms aim to enhance immigration integrity, curb corruption, and boost economic growth through streamlined digital systems.
