Federal Legislator Orogbu Raises Concerns Over Insecurity In Anambra
The member representing Awka North/Awka South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives Prof.Oby Orogbu has expressed great concerns over the recent dastardly acts of senseless killings in some parts of Anambra state.
According to Prof.Orogbu who spoke to journalists across the state shortly after a meeting with her constituents in Awka,the killings within her constituency are sacrilegious acts begging for urgent attention.
To that end,she urged the Anambra state government to take urgent proactive steps to quench the disturbing development capable of driving away investors from the state.
At the national assembly, she reiterated her commitment towards fighting for the rights of women and opened her doors to women with genuine cases of intimidation and harassments of all descriptions that need to be thrashed out.
The legislator commended the leadership of the lower chamber of the national assembly for being gender friendly and pampering the womenfolk who are in the minority.
At her constituency level,Prof. Orogbu outlined projects she has attracted and mapped out to assist all communities in her constituency, and promised to do more to assert her legislative quality representation.
