Federal Government urges stronger media literacy to tackle misinformation

The Federal Government has warned against rising misinformation and disinformation, urging Nigerians to strengthen media literacy skills to curb false narratives in the digital age.

Minister of Information Mohammed Idris said at a UNESCO-backed institute launch in Abuja that critical thinking and fact-checking are now essential to protect democracy and social stability.
