EzeOkpoko Oba Cabinet member buries Mum Ezinne Agulefo

Late Ezinne Ogbueshi Oyano Agulefo, the mother of Chief Sunday Agulefo (Ichie Akanaano II of Oba) a member of EzeOkpoko Oba cabinet in Idemili South has been laid to rest amidst tributes.

The burial ceremony cum celebration of life of the octogenarian who died at the age of 87 attracted a lot of family members and well wishers from home and Abroad.

The chief mourner, Chief Sunday Agulefo after appreciating God and sympathizers described his mother as a workaholic who taught her children dignity of labour and Independence, never to depend on anybody for help.

Another son of the deceased, Tochukwu Agulefo flanked by his sister Mrs Chioma Obunike after thanking God for protection said:”Mama loved us equally. Mama is hospitable. No one enters her house without eating food”.

Nwachimereze Okechukwu Ikwumelu described Ezinne Agulefo as a very industrious farmer who trained her children well saying that the children reciprocated by taking care of her during her old age.

Moreover, Chief Samuel Odinammadu (Ikeora Oba) prayed that God should give the bereaved longer lives and the fortitude to bear their loss urging them to learn from Mama’s legacies.

According to Chief Akonam Emekekwue(Akuatuegwu Oba), Ogbueshi Oyano is my maternal Aunt who lived a life worthy of emulation. I believe that she will reach her destination, if there is.

Similarly, Chief Nathaniel Onwuama(Ajee Oba) said that the deceased was her maternal Aunt and described her as a peaceful, truthful and an accomodating person praying that Mama’s death would unite the Agulefo family.

Moreso, Chidi Enechukwu said that Mama was outstanding wherever she belonged.”Oyano was formally a pagan and when she embraced Christianity she never lagged behind”.

However, Ogbuefi Okechukwu Osadebe(Akusinigwe 1 of Oba) said he came to commiserate with Chief Agulefo his classmate and friend praying for God’s protection and replenishment for the family after the funeral.

Meanwhile, HRM, Eze Chidi Nworah Obiakajiofor of Igbesa land, Ezeigbo Ogun state graced the occasion with his entourage to commiserate with Chief Agulefo his friend.

Special dignitaries present include Oba Regent, Prince Noel Ezenwa and many EzeOkpoko cabinet members, Oba President General, Rev. Chris Emelie and his entourage, Ifeanyi Nwamgbachi(Isiabaokpu Oba).

Others dignitaries include, Kindred Chairman, Mr. Onyeka Ikwumelu, Patron Kirikiri All Stars Football Club, Lagos, Ejikemeuwa Akachukwudiya, Obikwelugo Ifesochukwu Etoniru(Garba)

Highlights of the burial ceremony include novelty football matches between Kirikiri AllStars FC Lagos and Fegge AllStars FC,Onitsha; Seven Stars FC Lagos and Oba Senior AllStars FC. The visiting teams from Lagos which Chief Agulefo is a patron won their matches.
