extends palliatives to 12 Isiala Mbano wards

Hon. Eze-Nnanyereugo Okoro the All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate in the 2019 general election for Isiala Mbano state constituency has applauded Imo State government led by Senator Hope Uzodinma for its proactive steps towards combating Corona Virus pandemic in the state.

Okoro who gave the commendation on Thursday during the flagged off of the distribution of food items as palliative to the twelve wards in the council area which he procured through his humanitarian organization -  Ezenna Foundation for the entire wards in Isiala Mbano council area, also commended the Governor for his appointments so far.

The palliatives include bags of rice, cartoons of indomie noodles, cartoons of tomatoes, cartoons of power oil,  calendars containing the Covid-19 preventive guidelines cum measures.

The philanthropist  who is also an investment marchant in a statement issued by his media aide, Engr. Chibueze Dikeoma, said, "Our Governor, His Excellency Dist Sen. Hope Uzodinma deserves accolade for the robust efforts of the Imo State government in waging war against the dreaded Corona Virus disease, otherwise known as Covid-19.

"I also want to appreciate our Governor for all the appointments he made so far, because I am certain that with the caliber of people so appointed, Imo State will truly be reconstructed, rehabilitated and recovered, as he promised."

Addressing the beneficiaries of the palliatives , Hon. Okoro who was ably represented by Comr. Kenneth Mbamara (aka Eze Elect) said that the kind gesture was not politically motivated, but a way of helping the people cushion the economic effects of the Covid-19 outbreak.

He assured that the Ezenna Foundation, which is known for its philanthropic gestures, would continue to join hands with government and other relevant organizations to fight against Corona Virus pandemic in the state.

Okoro finally urged the beneficiaries to always observe the precautionary measures as well as support the present government in the state, "for better dividends of democracy and prosperity for all."

In appreciation, the Coordinators of various wards in their separate speeches commended the good spirit of the founder of the Non Governmental Organization, and prayed God to replenish and bless him abundantly.

Also, adding their voices on behalf of other beneficiaries, Mazi Sylvester Ugwunali, Mr Donatus Dike (an amputee), Mrs Phobi Uzowuru (also an amputee), Mrs Charity Chukwuezi (a cripple in a wheelchair), among others posited that the Covid-19 outbreak has served as a litmus test to ascertain those that truly care for the needy.

The high point of the event that was the passionate prayers made by the special citizens, requesting God to continually meet the benefactor at all his time of needs.
