‘’Eric Umeofia is a true son of Amichi’’ —ADU

        A Refutal by the Amichi Development Union (ADU)

The attention of the Amichi Development Union (ADU for short), has been drawn to a false story posted on an Online Media Platform, Odogwublog.com by Odogwu Media Communication Limited, which has now gone virile as other online websites and blogging groups have their cue equally.

Ordinarily, ADU need not concern itself with such publication as this, but for the wrong and misleading impression being created in the minds of the public by the captioned headline, to the fate that the Amichi People involved in such hopelessness and arrant Nonsense. ADU, as the mouth piece of the entire Amichi people, is not involved.

We draw the attention of the entire Nigerians particularly the following; namely: –

1.            The presidency

2.            The Inspector-General of Police

3.            Heads of various Police Formations & commands

4.            Lagos State Judiciary

5.            The Good People of Amichi

We wish to state most categorically that Chief Eric Umeofia is a true son of Amichi and we acknowledge and appreciate his philanthropic efforts in Amichi. They are quite visible for all to see.

We appeal to all the good people of Amichi to remain calm and discountenance all the falsehoods being dished out by this offensive publication. Meanwhile we leave the Police and the Lagos State Judiciary to handle the scandalous insinuations of corruption their own way.

ADU wishes to place it on firm record that Mr. Francis Okafor’s claim to be the President-General of Ebenator Okpala Development Union is false. This is his known pattern of seeking self-importance. Chief Sampson Okafor is the President-General of Ebenator Okpala Development Union.

The Amichi Development Union further wishes to state clearly and unequivocally that Chief Eric Umeofia is not involved in the Eke Amichi Communal land matter in which Prof. Emmanuel Ezeana and his family took the entire Amichi to court. Chief Eric Umeofia is not a party in the suit and no further comments as the matter is still sub-judice.

To all the patriotic people of Amichi; we urge you all to remain steadfast in your endeavours to better the lives of our people in Amichi. Even men may forget but Almighty God will never forget your sacrifice. Remain blessed.
