Enugu CP Decorates 92 Promoted Officers, Urges Dedication to Duty
The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Mr. Kanayo Uzuegbu, has decorated 92 newly-promoted senior officers within the state command. The officers, recently elevated by the Police Service Commission, include 20 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSP), 18 Superintendents of Police (SP), and 54 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP). During the ceremony held on Thursday in Enugu, the CP congratulated the officers and emphasized the need for renewed dedication, responsibility, and professionalism in their duties. He encouraged them to see their promotion as a call for greater commitment and productivity. Members of the Command’s Management Team, including DCP Olasoji Akinbayo (Operations), DCP Adebowale Lawal (State CID), and ACP Hope Isiani-Okereke (Finance and Administration), also congratulated the officers. They advised them to maintain professionalism, integrity, and excellence in their new ranks. Speaking on behalf of the newly-promoted officers, CSP Chidozie Okebugwu, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Abakaliki Road Division, expressed gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police, Dr. Kayode Egbetokun, and the Police Service Commission for their promotions. He also appreciated the Commissioner of Police and the management team for their guidance, pledging that the promoted officers would remain dedicated and exceed expectations. The event was attended by family members, friends, and associates of the officers, who joined in celebrating their achievements.
