Enugu APC state chairnmanship elections: Support for Comrade A. C. Ude gathers momentum

Political activities within the All Progresives Congress (APC),Enugu state chapter is springing up gradually over who becomes the next state chairman of the party in the state.

The current state chairman of the party,Chief Ben Nwoye,who transformed as the caretaker committee chairman of the party, in accoordance to the guidelines of Governor Bunmi national committe leadership of the party is ruled out of the context. This is because Chief Nwoye has completed his tenure as state chairman of the party iprovided in APC constitution.Obviously,he will be seeking for higher positions or appointment in the party.

Based on the approaching end of tenure of the Chief Nwoye led executive,the party stakeholders in their recent meeting brainstormed on how to re arrange the party leadership, as to accommodate various group interests while navigating the party for better results.

The South East post checks found out that the party resorted to the option of xoning the various positions of the party among the three senatorial districts in the state namely Enugu East senatorial zone ,Enugu West Senatorial zone and Enugu North senattorial zone commonly known as Nsukka Cultural zone..

While the stakeholders zoned the next chairman of the party in to be produced from Enugu West senatorial zone, they further agreed that the position of state vice chairman of the party should come from Enugu East senatorial zone While Enugu North distircts produces the state secretary, among other.

A close monitor of events within the party in the past two weeks indicates that Comrade A C.Ude,the puoneer deputy chairman if the party is the candidate to beat in the context for the next state chairman of the party. Comrade Ude who is currently the chairman,mobilization and contact committee in Enugu state is described by many stakeholders of the party,as a grassroot politician,who has remained steadfast with rules of engagement of the party amidst troubled moments.

The AUTHORITY South East post gathered that while he took his campaigns to the grassroots and party loyalists across the 17 local government areas,some of the partgrass roots promused to contribute money in buying nomination form for him.Not just for the fact that he comes from Enugu West senatorial district but for the various roles he has played in strengthening the party in the state,in addition to his consistency

Engr Ikechukwu Obuneme,a stakrholder of the party in Enugu North senatorial district disclosed that the party leadership from the six local government areas in the zone,has taken a decision to support Comrade A.C Ude in becoming the next state chairman of APC in Enugu state,against the rumored interest of Ambassadior Fidel Ayogu from their zone,because Comrade A .C.Ude has remained consistent with APC since 2014 while Fidel Ayogu often has tomanced with PDP ,where he held position as commissioner in Enugu state.

Comrade A.C Ude who concluded his campaign tours with a vidit to Oji River and Ezeagu local government areas st the weekend,was also assured of maximum support of Enugu West senatorial zone.His local government (Awgu)party stakeholders are smong those who ptomised to purchase the nominstion form for him
