EFCC Arrests Herbalists with $3.4M, €280K in Fraud Bust
The EFCC’s Ibadan Zonal Directorate has arrested five herbalists for allegedly defrauding a victim of N26.55 million. Authorities seized $3.43 million and €280,000, along with two luxury cars and mobile phones, during raids on their shrines in Osun and Lagos States on December 7–8, 2025.
The suspects reportedly tricked victims into giving money for “spiritual cleansing” and promised they could conjure foreign currency through ritual sacrifices.
