EDO2020 : We ‘ll ensure transfer of value for participation- Sport Commissioner.

Ahead of Edo 2020 National Sport Festival,the commissioner, for youth and sport development,Nasarawa state ,Honourable Othman Bala Adams,has assured that the state contingents shall be participating.
He stated this on Wednesday in his office in Lafia during an exclusive interview,saying preparation for the games are in top gear and that the state will ensured that there is transfer of value as the end result expected from the teams.
Honourable Othman further assured that the government is ready and as a ministry they have also made sure that competency is enhance as much as discipline instilled in the players,as some of the little and modest contributions put in place.
” So as soon as the government gives us the go ahead and approval the training will continue,as you were aware that we had started camping before the Pandemic broke out .
” This was the first camping after 12 years all geared towards ensuring that competence and discipline is instilled on our contingents.
” I am optimistic,we will not just go to Edo as participants ,but we will do something reasonable” He added.
According to him the numbers of sports that will participate will be determined by what government approves and the best technical advised from management to what game can be relied upon that will gives the state medals and not just a jamboree thing.
” So we re mindful of who should go for what Sport,therefore we are doing a thorough checked on the trend of sporting activities of association that can gives us medal,which our management will give us a fair idea of where our strength lies” He noted.
