The event which took place at the residence of Chief Chinedu Madubuko, Adazi-Ani, Anaocha Local Government Area attracted the political class, industrialists, the academc society as well as business mogul notable among whom are the former governor of Anambra state Mr. Peter Obi, and the Senator that represented Anambra Central, Senator Victor Umeh, and his successor, Senator Uche Ekwunife, traditional Ruler of Umueri, Igwe Ben Emeka among numerous others.

In Igbo custom, traditional marriage is much more than the celebration of joining the lives of two people into one,
It also a time when two families come together as one and an all-out affair that is full of bright colours costumes that depict the culture of the tribe, musicals, and ancient traditions of wine carrying.

As with Igbo culture, Cynthia Madubuko and Philip observed tradition before the wedding day arrives which duly kicked off with the Introduction Ceremony, where both families came together for perhaps the first time to exchange gifts with one another while the groom’s family is presented with the list for what they need to give to the family in order for them to accept the engagement.

The elegant traditional marriage was an envy of others as various categories of asho ebi of different age brackets were in display as the famous hip hop music artiste, Flavour ushered in the bride as she danced round the arena to extend pleasantries with her in-laws as well searched and introduced her newly found husband to the people amidst cheers and joys by the couples and people.

Expressing their joy, the parents of bride, Chief and Mrs Madubuko and that of the groom, Mr and Mrs Chikwe all prayed for blessings upon their union as they have prepared and raised them to be God fearing children who will make their families proud.

Felicitating with the new couples, Senator Victor Umeh, an Industrialist Sir Godwin Okeke, the Chairman of Paul B Paul and a stakeholder from Akwaeze Chief Ikenna Okafor collectively congratulated the couples and urged them to make God the foundation of their new home, ensure tolerance, obedience and effective communication to archive a desired home that will be a place of laughter and peace for all, praying God to equip them with all the good things of marriage.

Again, Flavour through his melodious performance challenged the couple to the dance floor in celebration for a fruitful outing accompanied with domestic gifts to the bride as she journeys to establish a new home.
