Covid-19 Pandemic: Keep Hopes Alive, NDUBUISI Urges Nigerians

A Young Nigerian leader and author of “Make It Happen”; Ndubuisi Precious Umebei has urged Nigerians to keep hopes alive as we battle the Coronavirus pandemic ravaging the world.

Speaking from his residence in Port Harcourt, he admonished Nigerians not to live in fear but rather to keep hopes alive as in no distant time, all of this would be over.

In his own words, “I admonish Nigerians to keep hopes alive. Humankind has faced previous global pandemic and history has shown that we overcame. This too, will come to pass in no distant time. We need not to panic much because anxiety does no good.”

While assuring Nigerians that this too will pass, he advised that we should adhere to the instructions given by the government and more importantly carry out the preventive measures directed towards curbing the spread of the virus.

He commended the proactive response and efforts of the Lagos State Governor; His Excellency, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, stating that he was perfectly positioned by God for this moment.

He also called on other state governors to emulate and replicate the same, in his words “…now is the time the government must rise up to one of its major roles which is ensuring the safety of its citizens.”

Furthermore, he called on the Federal Government and the Government of Rivers State to ensure working programs which will help alleviate the sufferings of the poor at this moment noting that the “hunger virus” kills faster than the coronavirus.

Finally, he made a clarion call to all Nigerians to give the government, governmental bodies, and health institutions all the support they need in order to curtail and eradicate this virus.
