COVID-19: Go And Vaccinate, Governor Uzodimma Aides Advises Imolites

Worried by campaign of calumny, propaganda and blackmail being dishes out from certain quarters, against the on going Covid-19 vaccination, Princess Calista Anene-Ahmed has advised Imolites especially Oguta people to take the vaccine assuring that the vaccine is effective in attacking the deadly Corona- Virus.

Princess Anene-Ahmed who is Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State Senior Special Adviser on Social Development and Humanitarian Services gave this advise while addressing Journalists shortly after being vaccinated at Government House, Owerri.

According to her “as part of the efforts by Imo state government in ensuring that the people are willing to participate in taking the vaccine, my office is equally putting measures in place to aid in educating and sensitising the citizens of Oguta LGA and Imo state at large that the COVID-19 vaccine is safe and efficacious. Things like this gives me joy, thus why am taking the lead for others to ” she pointed out.

The SSA noted also that the people will feel at ease when they are conscious that everyone is taking it, there will not be worries of getting infected or losing any loved ones through the virus.

She said she is given the advise inview of the fact that the covid -19 vaccine will soon be made available for everyone while commending Nigeria government for her strategic efforts so far in handling the vaccination personalities strata which she said have strategically reduced fears and create queues for the anti-coronavirus vaccination which is being taken now by high-profile personalities like the country’s President and Vice-President (already vaccinated), state governors and deputy governors, speakers of each State House of Assembly, Government appointees , Chief Judges and religious leaders.

Anene-Ahmed passionately appealed to the various tiers of Government to use all available channels and media of communication to enlighten the general public on the need for the vaccine and to provide clarifications where necessary using those who have vaccinated as an example.

The SSA further informed that It is safe and important to get the COVID-19 vaccine because the vaccination will help keep away from getting the virus insisting that the covid-19 vaccine is an important tool that would help stop the pandemic.

She assured that the vaccine does not affect or interact with people’s DNA as being alleged rather the COVID-19 vaccination is a safer way to help build body protections.
