Covid-19: Chief Sunny Ozobialu donates palliatives to Nnewi South 1
About two thousand bags of rice have been distributed to indigent and less privileged persons in six communities that make up Nnewi South constituency one.
The member representing them at the Anambra state House of Assembly, Chief Sunny Ozobialu who made the donations at his country home in Ekwulumili, said it was his contribution towards cushioning the effect of Covid- 19 pandemic on the people.
The member representing Nnewi South Constituency one in the Anambra state house of Assembly Mr Sunny Ozobialu Is a well known philanthropist who had touched lives of his people before they pleaded with him to go and represent them due to the trust they had on him to deliver.
Mr Ozobialu had built and handed over three houses to indigent families in the area apart from sinking of borehole that runs daily for free.
He has also attracted government presence to his constituency as the Willie Obiano led administration awarded and commenced work on one of the strategic roads in Ekwulummili community.
Though the covid 19 pandemic has continued to ravage the world, the law maker said, his constituents would not languish in hunger hence his provision of bags of rice to vulnerable persons, Party stakeholders, and other classes of people in the six communities that make up his constituency.
The law maker who is popularly known as Chief Mmilimalaugo, therefore advised his constituents to always obey and adhere to all the precautionary measures put in place by government and World Health Organisations to avoid contacting the dreaded pandemic.
Two women who benefited in the area , mrs Chinenye Ezeifedika and mrs Amaka Okoye described the law maker as God sent and prayed that he continue to represent his people .
Two constituents , Sir Fred Odukwe and Mr Frank Odigwe said the gesture would go a long way to cushion the hunger already ravaging the people.
In an interview, the transition committee Chairman , Nnewi South local government area, Mr Chieloka Okoye also commended the law maker for his representation and having the interest of his people at heart.
In their separate remarks, the President General of Amichi, Chief N. Ezeilo and the Secretary of Ekwulumili development Union , Mr Stanley Ojiakor extolled the leadership qualities of the law maker describing him as a quintessential representative.
Nnewi South Constituency One is made of six communities which include Ekwulumili, Unubi, Azigbo, Utuh and Osumenyi.
Radio Nigeria correspondent Uche Ndeke reports that the law maker had also taken step to ensure that people of the area abide by the safety measures against the pandemic by providing running water borehole to enable them wash their hands regularly.
