COVID-19: Activist prays for Osun SSG, Prince Oyebamiji, others


A human rights activist, Comrade Adeniyi Alimi Sulaiman has prayed for the quick recovery of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Osun, Prince Wole Oyebamiji,who was confirmed to have tested positive for Coronavirus.

It was widely reported in the media on Tuesday by the State Commissioner for Health,Dr. Rafiu Isamotu that Prince Oyebamiji and few of his staff,were tested positive for global pandemic code named COVID-19.

Comrade Sulaiman who hailed from the same Local Government area of the State with Prince Oyebamiji, urged the good people of the State to pray fervently for the healing of the SSG and others ten(10) people from
COVID-19 virus.

He told the people about the existence of the Pandemic in our society, urging the people to take the laid-down precautionary measures put in place by the government and COVID-19 Task Force with seriousness in order to forestall any out break through the community transmission.

According to the statement he personally signed on Wednesday, ” I am worried with the sudden rise of the Pandemic cases in our society upon measures put in place by the governments and our people need to be waried of the spread among the residents because it would be cancerous for its out break in our society”.

Condoles over death of monarchs

Meanwhile, the rights Activist has also condoled with the State government and the people of Awo,Egbedi and Iwoye over the recent demise of the three monarchs in Egbedore Local government area of the State, adding that the monarchs were; Alawo,Elegbedi and Oluwoye.

Sulaiman who is Executive Chairman, Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice (CHRSJ)prayed unto God to give their respective families and the good people of their town the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
