Aguleri and Umuleri youths in Anambra East and West Local Government Area of Anambra State have sued for peace, vowing to stop all forms of hostility and communal clashes, which have lasted for over 20 years in the communities.

The youths lamented that the clashes have led to the loss of lives, properties and other valuables that would have been of benefit to the two communities.

The youths of the two communities spoke in the presence of their traditional rulers at a peace meeting held at the council headquarters of Anambra East Local Government.

The spokesman for the youths, Mr Echidiegwu Ginikanwa said that the two communities have resolved not to fight again. He described the communal clashes in the area as senseless that should have been avoided.
