COMMISSIONER CELEBRATES FIRST LADY’S BIRTHDAY WITH NEW MOTHERS AT AMAKU HOSPITAL
As part of activities marking the birthday of the Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Nonye Soludo, the Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs. Chinyere Esther Onyekesi, paid a heartfelt visit to the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOUTH), Amaku, Awka, where she celebrated with women who had just given birth.
Bearing gifts on behalf of the Ministry, Mrs. Onyekesi visited the maternity ward to congratulate the new mothers and welcome their newborn babies. She described childbirth as one of life’s greatest blessings and encouraged the mothers to continue providing love, care, and proper upbringing for their children.
The Commissioner explained that the visit was in honour of Dr. Nonye Soludo’s birthday, noting that the First Lady has consistently championed the welfare of women, children, and families across Anambra State through her humanitarian initiatives.
She conveyed warm birthday wishes to Dr. Soludo, praying for God’s continued guidance, strength, and good health as she continues to support the development of women and vulnerable groups in the state.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Commissioner and the Anambra State Government for the thoughtful gesture, describing the visit and gifts as timely encouragement during a memorable moment in their lives.
