ANSACA Executive Director Celebrates First Lady Nonye Soludo, Commends Her Public Health Impact

The Executive Director of the Anambra State AIDS Control Agency (ANSACA), Dr. Nkem Okeke, KSC, has congratulated the First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, on her birthday, describing her as a compassionate leader whose commitment to public health and humanitarian service has transformed the lives of many residents.
In a goodwill message, Dr. Okeke praised the First Lady for her selfless service, humility and dedication to improving the health and wellbeing of women, children and vulnerable groups across the state.
He particularly commended the impact of the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, noting that it has strengthened public health awareness through the promotion of healthy lifestyles, proper nutrition, environmental sanitation and preventive healthcare.
According to him, the initiative’s nutrition and child health interventions have significantly improved the wellbeing of vulnerable families by addressing childhood malnutrition and providing free health services to those in need.
Dr. Okeke acknowledged the First Lady’s contribution to strengthening Anambra State’s HIV response, noting that ANSACA continues to leverage the community structures established through the Healthy Living Initiative to expand HIV prevention, testing, treatment and care services across the state.
He noted that the endorsement of the Anambra State HIV Charter, under her leadership, reaffirmed the state’s commitment to achieving Zero New HIV Infections by 2030, in line with the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets and Sustainable Development Goal 3.3.
The ANSACA Executive Director described the charter as a major milestone in the state’s efforts to end HIV as a public health threat through stronger collaboration among government, development partners, healthcare providers and communities.
Dr. Okeke expressed appreciation for the First Lady’s support for the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo noting that her partnership has complemented the government’s people-centred policies and contributed to ongoing development across the state.
On behalf of his family and the management and staff of ANSACA, Dr. Okeke prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health, wisdom and strength for the First Lady as she continues her service to Anambra State and humanity.
