Christmas Bonus: Anambra Govt Distributes Bags Of Rice To Civil, Public Servants
Governor Willie Obiano has flagged off distribution of bags of rice to civil and public servants in Anambra state.Governor Obiano who announced this during a parley with the state workforce at Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex, Awka, tasked workers on increased productivity.
The Governor who noted that Nigeria has officially entered into a recession, emphasized that only a change of attitude will help the country to exit the situation.
He called for curbing of waste, cutting of cost and punctuality to work, among others.
While assuring that he will continue to work hard to sustain the tempo of development in the state, promised to also pay the December salary before Christmas and urged workers to uphold total adherence to COVID-19 protocols which he said is still in the air.
In a remark the Clerk of the state House of Assembly, Mr Pius Udo who described Governor Obiano as large hearted, urged him to put mechanisms in place to ensure that the foundation he laid will be sustained, especially after the emergence of his successor.
The seven awardees of the Nigeria Public Sector Leadership and Productivity Award recipients were honoured by the Governor.They include MD/CEO ABS, Chief Uche Nworah, Dr Emmanuel Ude-Akpeh, Mrs Carol Njaka, Mrs Stephnie Keri-Uzo, Ngozi Onuorah, Adebayo Oyejinka and Mr Uchenna Ezeani.
