Choirmaster Thrills Bishop, Laity, Mourners With Acrobatic Display

The Catholic Bishop of Orlu Diocese, His Grace. Most Rev. Augustine Ukwuoma, clergy, laity and mourners, watched in disbelief as a choirmaster, displayed the stuff he was made of when he thrilled them with acrobatic performance during a special church service in honour of a matriach, late Mrs. Nneoma Caroline Igbokwupute.

Displaying his singing skill, combined with the acrobatic movement, the Presiding Bishop, was forced to hold on by the choirmaster’s unique display that all those in the St. Peter Catholic church, Amorka, Ihiala Local Government Area, Anambra State, started clapping and hailing him for the skillful display.

The Chief mourner, Chief Chidiebere Young Igbokwupute, while reacting to the acrobatic display, said such good things always followed his late mother when she was alive, pointing out that her mother lived a life worthy of emulation.

“My mother was an epitome of love. Peace, philanthropy and an inspirator who believed so much in the Lord Jesus Christ and always displayed it in both words and actions without fear or favour.

“She was not a lawyer/Judge but always sat on the throne of truth in giving justice when any case came up for hearing and justice to be delivered. She was the first to make donation for the building of St Peter church Amorka”, he further revealed.

The Chief mourner, who is called ( Dikejiejemba 1 of Amorka), by his admirers, while commending those who came to felicitate with him over the demise of his mother, expressed optimism that the mother’s good will would see her through to heaven.

In his tribute, the former Parish Priest of the church, Rev. Fr. Cajetan Dara, said that the deceased in a bid to satisfy the down trodden, shared bags of rice her children bought for her to sell in her shop.

“She was a virtuous woman, a woman of faith who believed in God. She always opened the gate of her house and the son, Dikejiejemba with his siblings, have followed suit. She brought her children in Godly manner and till today , they display the stuff they are made of, by rendering help to the helpless, especially Dikejiejemba,” he stated.

In his contribution, an associate of the Chief mourner, Chief Jonas Okam Ogbuagu, said that late Mrs Igbokwupute lived a life worthy of emulation and prayed God to give the family the heart with which to bear the loss.

“She was a mother indeed, a virtuous woman, who contributed immensely to the development of the community and the Anglican church in Amorka. She thought her children the way to live a Godly life and love to fellow human beings,” he stated.

Born in February 15th, 1950, the deceased was the second child of seven children, and survived by eight children, out of which one, Dikejiejemba, has become the pillar of the family.
