By Odogwu Emeka Odogwu Awka
The Ejesieme dynasty in Agulu, Anaocha local government area Anambra State were in a joyous mood when little Master Chimubuodogwu Champion Ejesieme went to Church for dedication last week Sunday amidst pomp and ceremony.
Parents of Chimubuodogwu, Nonso and Onyinye Ejesieme were overwhelmed with joy as they danced to the altar with family, friends and associates, demonstrating the live of God upon them.
Just as the Archdeacon, CHS Awka Archdeaconry, Ven.Dr. Onyeka Egwuonwu encouraged Christians to live like Christ in all circumstances.
He admonished that the church is one body in Christ Jesus despite the denominational differences, warning that Christians should not allow divisive tendencies in the body of Christ.
He said Christians are bound to offend one another but love surpasses all grievances, hence Christians should forgive one another in love.
Ven.Dr.Egwuonwu who is also the Vicar, CHS Awka charged Christians to shun divisive mentality but rather provoked love.
He insisted that anyone possessed by the spirit of Christ is a brother or sister for all denominations, since the church is one body.
He reminded that everyone in the church is important, hence the name of Jesus Christ signifies oneness of the church, the uniformity of the church.
He noted that being adamant to the words God isn’t for Christians and believers as a true Christian must have a change of heart and attitude.
He further said that the difference between some churches and others are in the different ways of worship which doesn’t indicate disunity.
He said aside different styles of worship, all Christian denominations accept baptism of others but may differ in sacrament but Jesus Christ remains the same for all.
He spoke on the theme: ” That all, maybe one”.
