Change of Baton As New Minister Of State for Health Assumes Duty
Former Minister of State For Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Tunji Alausa has officially handed over the his replacement, Dr. Salako Iziaq Adeboye.
Dr. Alausa was redeployed as Minister of Education in a cabinet reshuffle by President Bola Tinubu.
In his speech at the ceremony, the Coordinating Minister for Health and Social Welfare, Professor Ali Pate, commended Dr. Alausa’s outstanding contributions, describing his transfer as “a reward for good and exceptional work.”
Professor Pate praised Alausa’s dedication, team spirit, and leadership in advancing health services, calling him an asset in the transformative journey to optimising healthcare for Nigerians.
As Dr. Salako Adekunle Adeboye steps into his new role, Professor Pate, expressed optimism that they would build on the milestones in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, working to revitalise and enhance the nation’s healthcare system.
The ceremony also saw Dr. Alausa release appointment letters to ten newly appointed Medical Directors for Federal Hospitals, including the new Federal Medical Centres in Bauchi, Ekiti, and Lagos states.
Addressing the appointees, Alausa emphasised the importance of impactful leadership, urging them to prioritise projects that quickly benefit citizens.
