Hon.Igwebuike Okafor (aka)Igwe bida,a former Chairman of zone 1 mainmarket onitsha and currently the chairman of Ado line of the market has lamented that the current caretaker Chairman of the market Chief Innocent Ezerioha is not caring the executives of the market along in the administration of the market noting that he runs the market as a sole administrator.

Disclosing this to newsmen while speaking during the (iriji) eating of new yam celebration of Chief Humphrey Anuna the president general of ASMATA held at the union headquarter modebe house modebe avenue odoakpu onitsha last weekend, Okafor noted that the development has negatively affected the market as most traders don’t know what is going on in the market adding that this had eroded their confidence in executives of the market as there is no longer unity of purpose among all traders as it used to be in the past in the market.

He stated that this has brought a sense of insecurities and enthronement of canals and God fatherism to once more come back to be reckoned inside the market.
While lamenting further that this had brought down majority of traders morale in market, he told newsmen he is appealing to the state governor Prof Chukwuma Soludo to direct the state comisoner in charge of commerce and market to intervene and restore the traders confidence adding that the chairman of the market is not doing enough to mobilize the traders to develop the market.

Corraborating this while also speaking to journalists,Mr Chijioke Okpalaugo, Chairman Major Lagos line articles and Chairman white house chunken mansion all apealed to anambra state government to help the market to choose good leaders who will like to work to attract development in the market instead of seeking for what they will eat adding that the traders of the market are yearning for good leadership.
Newsmen efforts to contact Chief Innocent Ezerioha, Chairman of Mainmarket to react to this could not yield dividends before going to the press as his phone was switched off.
But newsmen succeeded in getting one of his aids and an executive member of the market who spoke on the condition that there names will not be mentioned.speaking the duo dismissed such news as blantant lies and exercise done as personal vandetta adding that the chairman has been doing very well to the satisfaction of majority of traders of the market.
