Catholic Priest Vows to Sponsor UNIZIK FM’s Children’s Day Celebration
It was a minute of indescribable joy to the UNIZIK FM Family yesterday as Rev Fr Professor Bonachristus Umeogu pledged to fund UNIZIK FM’s Children’s Day celebration and as well procure a standard video tripod stand for the station.
Professor Bonachristus Umeogu who was the former Dean Faculty of Arts Nnamdi Azikiwe University while speaking in an interview with UNIZIK FM STAFF, Micheal Ugokwe and Grace Okoli Emmanuel commended UNIZIK 94.1 FM for her concerted efforts in disseminating information for conscience formation in the listener.
The Professor of Philosophy and a sponsor of UNIZIK FM flagship programme,. AWA Mahadum Igbo aired live every Friday by 2pm in the Station described the spirit with which the station operates as a good one and promised to support the station with recording purposes.
He pledged to further support unizik 94.1 FM financially and otherwise and called on his friends and people with goodwill to join him in the mission of supporting the station with their resources.
Reacting on Prof Umeogu’s benevolence, the Director of the FM, Prof Ifeoma Dunu who could not with hold her excitement thanked him for his love and special care to the Station and assured him that the renewed relationship he has with the Station will open more doors of blessings to him and the Station.
She commended the University Vice Chancellor, Prof Charles Esimone for his continued support while also soliciting for support from the entire University community.
Professor Dunu enjoined the University community to sponsor programmes as well as make other contributions to the growth of the University radio.
