Olisa Chukwurah a Portharcourt based business man who hails from Onitsha Anambra State has alleged a serious threat to his life by his Kinsman one Chief Francis Anyakwo who he has a failed business deal with in the past.
Briefing newsmen in his residence at Onitsha his hometown yesterday, Olisa Chukwurah alleged that Chief Francis Anyakwo whom he described as his blood brother has been constantly using the men of the Nigerian Police to severally invades his houses in Portharcout and Onitsha in a Gestapo tactics all in a bid to arrest, humiliate and cow him down over a business deal he had with him which he also alleged that he Chief Anyakwo derailed in honouring his own part of the deal adding that he was also shocked to the marrow that he is been harrased as there was an existing court order retraining him and Chief Anyakwo from taking further action in respect of the matter.
While appealing to the Police Service Commission, Human Rights Organizations and other well meaning individuals in his community in Onitsha to protect him, he further lamented that invasion of his houses in Portharcourt and Onitsha and others are all aimed to intimidate him to forget huge sum of money owed him by Chief Anyakwo.
Adding his voice while brandishing a certified court judgment delivered by one Justice Ikeogu of the Anambra State High Court of Awka Judicial Division in a Suit No. 0/MISC250/2023 0/1314M/2023 between Olisa Chukwurah as applicant and Mr. Francis Anyakwo, Commissioner of Police Intelligence Bureau Lagos State, DSP Ibitoye .O. Rueus and Inspector General of Police as respondents, Barrister F.A. Ogbuli the Legal Counsel to Olisa Chukwurah noted that the refusal of officers of the Nigeria Police to obey Court Order restraining them from further harassment, intimidation and constant threats of arrest armed with AK 47 riffles, amounts to contempt of the court, coupled with the refusal of the police to disclose their invitation and reason for inviting his client to Intelligence Bureau Annex in Lagos which is the base of Chief Anyakwo instead of Inspector General Office at Abuja are all tactics to humiliate and injure his client’s integrity and life.
Said he, “this desperate bid to arrest my client at all cost despite a pending court order for stay of execution may be a sinister ploy to harm my client Mr. Olisa Chukwurah while in detention over a contractual relationship that involves a civil dispute between my client and supposedly brother who is from the same extended family in Onitsha.
Following this development, Newsmen in a bid to give the two parties fair hearing made frantic effort to hear from Chief Anyakwo by contacting him through his phone number. But all efforts made to contact him through his cell phone was not successful just as numerous text messages sent to him was not replied to before going to the press.
It will be recalled that some time ago an online newspaper from Onitsha (my home town) had earlier carried a story on the issue titled “why Akunne Okechukwu Chukwurah was arrested recently and flown to Lagos”.
