Breaking: OBIANO APPOINTS BARR EZEWUZIE C.E.O OF DISABILITY RIGHTS COMMISSION

Governor Wille Obiano of Anambra State has appointed  Barr. Chukwuka  Ezewuzie as the Chairman / Chief Executive Officer of Disability Rights Commission. 

This was made known to newsmen in Awka today in a program organised by the Joint National Association of People with Disability Anambra state chapter in collaboration with the office of the Governor on Disability Matters and the Ministry of  Women and Children Affairs, Anambra  State.  

This came as a surprise package today during the 2021 International  Day for Persons with Disability celebration been marked every 3rd of December.

The news  came in as they  were celebrating  their day in Awka  with the theme” LEADERSHIP  AND PARTICIPATION  OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES TOWARDS  AN INCLUSIVE, ACCESSIBLE AND SUSTAINABLE COVID-19 WORLD “

It was gathered that other members of the board will be announced later according to the law guiding the association and their work takes effect immediately. 

It was further gathered that Anambra State is the only state the law on People with Disability has been passed and that was one of the greatest achievements of the Governor Willie Obiano led administration. His Government is Disability-friendly and Obiano has employed nearly one hundred and thirty people with disabilities into the state workforce.
