Breaking: Anambra Auto Crash Claims One

A fatal lone accident in Anambra has claimed life of a middle- aged man along the Enugu-onitsha expressway of the state.

The tragic incident which occurred near the state government house in the evening of Monday involved a red coloured Toyota Avelon with two male passengers as occupants.
Odogwublog.com gathered that one of the male passengers lost his life at the spot as the vehicle lost control due to over speeding on the express road.

Confirming the incident, the Sector Public Education Officer Federal Road Safety Corps, Anambra State RC Pascal A. Anigbo said “At about 3.19 pm today Monday 18 May, 2020 a fatal lone Road Traffic Crash (RTC) was recorded near Government House, Awka along Awka-Enugu expressway.

“The vehicle involved was a red colored Toyota Avalon with registration number AKD69AFB. Two(2) male adults were involved in the crash, which was reportedly caused by over-speeding. One death was recorded. The dead victim was taken to the morgue by the Red Cross Society.

“FRSC operatives are on ground ensuring free flow of traffic and clearing of obstruction caused by the vehicle which tumbled. The Fire Service are also present to avert possible fire outbreak.

“The Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps Anambra State, CC Andrew A. Kumapayi condole with the family of the dead. He admonishes motorists to always drive with common sense speed limits and within stipulated speed limits, especially within built-up areas.”
