BOT Chairman New Auto Spare parts Market sends SOS over illegal construction of Shops and threat to life

The chairman, Board of Trustees, (BoT), New Auto Spare parts market Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government area, Anambra State, High Chief Paul Emerah, has accused the Interim Market Chairman of The Market Chief Obiora Ofole of collaborating with the Ogidi Divisional Police Officer, (DPO), Frank Amobi, Agunechemba security outfit ,the Anambra State Physical Planning Board (ANSPPB and the office of the Special Adviser on Markets and Trade led by Mr Evarsistus Uba of escalating tension in the market

High Chief Paul Emerah who made this known to newsmen said that despite obtaining favourable Judgement from the Asaba Appeal court declaring the Landlord and Shop owners as the legitimate owners of any structure to be constructed on top of their existing shops the alleged third parties have continued in their tacit support of Ofole led executive to continue the building shops on top of their existing shops in clear contempt of the court .

While calling on the relevant authorities to stop Chief Ofole also known as Award and his executives from the ongoing construction of news shops in the market he attributed the death of the son of the immediate past executive Chairman to the shody construction of the news shops which led to a block falling down on the head of the desceaesd.

According to him the original building plan of the new shops accommodated only 24 first floor shops on the existing 24 ground floor shops but the contractor on the instruction of Ofole is constructing 28 first floor shops on top of the existing 24 ground floors shop which has the potential of causing more havoc in the market on the event of possible collapse

He further expressed his satisfaction over the conduct of elections in Markets on the state even as he called on Gov Soludo to prioritize conducting an election for the New Auto spare parts market to forestall a break down of the peace and law and order being enjoyed by traders in the market due to the alleged gross recklesness and conduct of the present Interim Market executives which continues to enjoy the backing of the Ogidi Divisional Police Officer.

He also alleged that that there is an ongoing plan to kidnap him because of his efforts to stop the ongoing construction of the new shops in the market and if any thing should happen to him Chief Ofole and his cohorts should be held responsible .

Meanwhile all efforts to reach out the mentioned third parties on their reaction to the allegations of conniving with the Market Chairman proved abortive as at press time
