Blame the government for the rise in money rituals, yahoo yahoo and other vices -PMF president
The president of Pentecostal Ministers Forum of Nigeria, bishop Chidi Anthony has castigated the government for inflicting desperation and hopelessness on our youths Which have prompted the increase in money ritual and other vices in the country.
Speaking to newsmen today in Lagos , the president reiterated that government neglect and abandonment prompted the youths to take money ritual and other crimes and last resorts “we must blame the government for what is happening in the country,our youths are in the state of helplessness and hopelessness which has turned them into wharewolves , bringing out the cruelty and viciousness in them, the youths are frustrated that’s why “Yahoo yahoo” and money rituals are on the increase on daily basis, almost every young person you see today in our society is into one crime or the other, just to survive”
He recapitulated that the problem must be tackled from the root because hopelessness and frustration can lead anybody to committing crime “if our commonwealth resources have been well managed for the people to feel the impact,will the youths be going into money ritual? what we are experiencing is a backlash of a neglected and a mismanaged country, what we are experiencing is what is obtainable in a county where the government does not care about the citizens, everyone engages in desperate moves in the quest for survival”.
He applauded governor Soludo of Anambra state for the bold step he took by arresting and arraigning fake native doctors and called for other governors to emulate it in order to sanitise our society “I am really impressed with what governor Soludo is doing at the moment because it will help cleanse our society,I wish it can be extended to the churches,to arrest the fake prophets who defraud their gullible member that have come in the quest for spiritual solutions,I want to directly implore the Imo state governor,Hope Uzodinma to emulate Soludo because most of the native doctors are on fugitive to Imo state,the entire Eastern region must be purged of evil and fake native doctors that have brought anguish and trauma to the society “.
Finally,he implored the government to create employment opportunities and empowerment for the youths,he also advised the parents to be careful and watchful of the activities of their children ” the government need to create employment opportunities and opportunities for empowerment so that the youths can be engaged,so that they can be busy because the devil uses the weapon of idleness to perpetuate evil through our young ones;our government need to be responsible and create platforms that will promote entrepreneurship empowerment,you see graduates with master degrees, riding Okada and engaging in menial jobs without integrity and prestige, our parents should be watchful of what our children do, the kind of job they’re into, this will help shape our society”.
