Arrangements are in top gear by Abia indigenes resident in Anambra State and Abia State Ministers’ Fellowship Anambra State, AMFA, to meet with Governor Otti and brainstorm on rapid infrastructural development of Abia State.

The chairman of AMFA, Bishop Dr. Innocent Chidi, made this disclosure during the inauguration of AMFA executives/award ceremony, held at Bethsaida Bible Church, 3-3, Nsugbe, near Onitsha.

He lamented that successful regimes were not able to carry the people to the promised Land stating that the emergence of Governor Alex Otti, has rekindled the heart of the people as he embarked on aggressive road rehabilitation and has been able to provide ten solid roads within his 100 days in office.

“We, the Abia State Ministers Fellowship in Anambra State and Abia indigenes resident in Anambra State are perfecting arrangement to meet with His Excellency, Governor Alex Otti, on ways to develop Abia State. We have commenced the arrangement, we will support him to achieve his target of making Abia to be Japan of Africa,” he affirmed.

On his new leadership as chairman of the newly elected and inaugurated AMFA, he vowed not to let the people down adding it was a responsibility meant to use the gospel for God and humanity.

He advised his members of AMFA to maintain dignity and commitment as they pilot the affairs of the organization in a bid for others to emulate them and avoid acts capable of dragging their image to the mud.

Collaborating the position of Bishop Innocent on concerted effort to develop Abia, the chairman, Abia State Indigenes Forum, Anambra State chapter, comrade Damian Ogudike, applauded Governor Otti for his tremendous achievements within 100 days in office.

Comrade Ogudike made the commendation shortly after receiving award of ‘Excellence Service to Humanity,’ at the inauguration of newly elected officers of AMFA/award giving ceremony.

He unequivocally stated that no one can run governance alone, saying that it is a tedious task and advised Governor Otti to carry all the Abia state stakeholders along in order to make Abia state greater.

Ogudike, a human rights activist, further expressed worry over the obnoxious idea of Abia state Government to rent apartment where successive Governors ran the affairs of the State for 24 consecutive years, even as he urged Otti to move out from such rented apartment and relocate to Abia state Government House in order not to replicate bad leadership style of previous administration in the state.

He recalled that his leadership as the chairman of Abia state Indigenes Forum Anambra State chapter, had been working hard politically with prayers since 2019 to ensure that Abia state could be repositioned, just as he said that their efforts have yielded dividends.

” We are happy now that there is a change of Government in Abia state. We have reached the Governor to have chat with the Abia Ministers of God and Abia Indigenes Forum but it has not been easy because of issues facing him”

“We want to have chat with him because we have our own idea to offer in order to make Abia great. Although, he is doing well but he needs to bring other stakeholders together. He is marvelously doing well in Aba because it is a commercial place and he needs to generate revenue. He needs to make Aba a capital city not a glorified Local Government but he should not concentrate all the development in the area” said Ogudike.

Speaking, a special guest and member, Nigerian Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Osita Nwosu,, commended Bishop Innocent for his inauguration as chairman of AMFA and urged him not to relent in his gospel to fish out men for God.

Nwosu who was among those honoured for their humantarian services, urged the Bethsaida church to always renew its certificate of Incorporation issued to it by the Corporate Affairs Commission. CAC, in its own interest.

Meanwhile, the inauguration Minister, and chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Anambra State chapter, Bishop Moses Ezedebego noted that Abia Ministers in Anambra State are blessed.

He specifically commended the Presiding Bishop of Bethsaida Church, 3-3, Onitsha, Bishop Innocent, for his radical evangelism which he said fetched the Bishop abundant blessings from God, even as he praised Governor Otti for his ongoing transformation in Abia state.
