Benue Assembly Rejects NASS Summons, Threatens Legal Action

The Benue State House of Assembly has rejected a summons from the National Assembly’s Public Petition Committee, urging Speaker Hyacinth Dajoh not to appear, citing constitutional violations. Lawmakers plan legal action and demand investigations into those behind the petition. The Assembly insists it is not answerable to the National Assembly and criticized the summons as uninformed.
